Is it just me, or is PostGIS not even installed on this VM? I'm trying to use the src/mapnik/osm2pgsql/osm2pgsql binary to import, and it's complaining about an unknown PostgreSQL/PostGIS function. (The mapnik/osm2pgsql.py script only worked after a few modifications, and doesn't seem to be the droid I'm looking for anyway.)

Re your advice about the Logitech Webcam: I too upgraded to Win 7 64 bit and lost my webcam. Dell and Logitech have been no help. Dell offered to "fix" my m1210 for $99. I noted your fix for the webcam here. After locating the xc64 driver that I downloaded, what do I do next?

I don't suppose you have any more info about this??? Some screenshots of your settings that you're using.

I had my 3102 setup for faktortel (after i changed all the ringer settings) and working sweet and didn't realise that I'd be complicating things by changing over to TPG...

All of these settings go in your SPA3102

On your SPA3102 you need to go to the voice tap, select the "Admin Login" and then "Advanced". You then find scroll down to the "Proxy and Registration" area and enter the proxy address.

The login details for the Ubuntu Image are:

username: notroot
password: thoughtpolice

The base Ubuntu image was sourced from http://www.thoughtpolice.co.uk/vmware/

In terms of blank tiles being generated, you might want to double check that you have imported the OSM data for your region. (as per the instructions on http://weait.com/content/make-your-first-map)

As it stands the image only comes with the world coastlines installed, not all of the OSM data.

A good way to test is to do some rendering at zoom level 1-5 where the coastlines will give you outlines and detail without needing all of the underlying OSM data.

Hi,
great VM. Thank you.
I'am getting always Empty Tiles.

I followed the steps and execute the commands
(source set-mapnik-env
./customize-mapnik-map >$MAPNIK_MAP_FILE
./z0_generate_tiles.py)

The values for the Bounding Box for Great Britian are from the osm file.

In the STDERR i always get this messages:
Great Britian : 10 651 508 Empty Tile
Great Britian : 10 651 507 Empty Tile
...

Can you help please?

Greetings
Ayhan

Hi Steve,

Went down a similar path. Softphone from TPG, bought a 3102 and trying to connect the dots. I have a THOMSON ST536 ADSL modem - can't see anywhere to let me set a proxy server address - or is this settable in the 3102 configuration?? Any help appreciated. :).
